Shannon Daley Memorial Fund hosts 20th annual golf tournament on September 27

The 20th Annual Shannon Daley Memorial Fund Golf Tournament will be held on September 27 at the Copper Hill Country Club in Ringoes.

The fund was created to help families in the area who are suffering financial hardship due to a child with a serious illness or with special needs.

This year’s recipients include:

  • Morgan Hewitt, 16, of Franklin Township, with acute myeloid leukemia
  • Hunter Ehnstrom, 3, of Martinsville, suffers from myelomeningocele spina bifida, hydrocephalus and Arnold Chiari II malformation.
  • 8-month-old twins Penelope and Charlotte Jacobs from Hackettstown, both born prematurely and weighing less than 2 pounds each.
  • Jacquelyn Hendershot, 9, from Easton, with trisomy 21 (Down syndrome).

There will be a departure time at 10 am and registration will begin at 8:30 am Breakfast will be served at 9 am. For more information on the course, visit

The registration fee will be $ 250 per person which will include golf, cart, breakfast, lunch, dinner and open bar during dinner, awards and prizes. Individual players and foursomes are invited to participate in this charity event. It will be a scrambled format.

Sponsorships are available, ranging from event co-sponsorship to specific contest sponsorship such as closest to pin and individual hole sponsorships starting at $ 100. The names of the sponsors will be prominently displayed along with the type of message chosen, and the sponsors will be mentioned in a program distributed at the event.

The breakdown is as follows:

  • Event sponsor $ 2,500
  • Co-sponsor of the event $ 1,000
  • Dinner sponsor $ 500
  • Closest to pin sponsor $ 250
  • Sponsorships of holes 100 $
  • Patron $ 50

Organizers also need auction items, raffle prizes, and door prizes. All donated prizes will be clearly identified with the donor’s name. All donations will also be listed in the program.
