Bellingham, Washington – Donna Mae Crocker passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the age of 89. Donna was born on December 20, 1931 in Geneva, Nebraska, to BW “Bud” and Marion Huston. Her parents moved to the West Coast as a child, and she grew up in McMinnville, Oregon, where she graduated in 1949 as a major in her high school class. In 1950, Donna married Charles “Chuck” Crocker; Together, with their three children, they lived in Oregon, Alaska, and eventually settled in Bellingham in the early 1970s.
During her years of work, Donna worked in the areas of secretarial insurance, retail, construction on the Alaska Pipeline to Prudoe Bay, AK, and healthcare. After 20 years in administration at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Donna retired and began her new “career” with the pleasure of serving as a child care manager for the ever-growing number of back-to-back children. grandchildren.
Donna’s family was her greatest joy as her three children were the “best gifts” she had ever received, and she was often found at one of the many sporting / athletic events cheering on one or more of her great-grandchildren. -children. She also enjoyed reading, needlework and knitting, which often gave her many gifts for the family.
Donna was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her only sister and a cousin. She is survived by her daughters Christine Patten and Cindy Meche (husband Joe) and son Michael Crocker (wife Pam Crocker); grandchildren Clete Smith, Cameo Johnson (husband Brian), Celeste Patten, Luke Patten, Jared Lovejoy, Jason Harler, Zachary Crocker, Tiani Crocker; great-grandchildren Violet and Cameo Smith, Finnegan, Clayton and Barrett Johnson, Zion, Aysa, Azariah, Arrow and Tucker Crocker, Ayla Gabl-Patten; 3 cousins ââand a niece and a nephew. At her request, there will be a memorial service near the grave at Bayview Cemetery, for the family only, where she will rest alongside her husband.
